A Summer Shade of Blue

I haven't seen one of these little guys in my backyard since childhood in the 1960s.  Then again, as I'm not the world's most avid gardener I probably hadn't paid attention.  I think he's part of the dragonfly family, if anyone out there has a clue feel free to comment.

I just LOVE his cool, clear blue suit with the funky navy pinstripes!
